Woodstock took place August 15-18 in the town of Bethel, NY, outside the hamlet of White Lake. Bethel is in Sullivan County, which adjoins Ulster County where the town of Woodstock lies. Bethel is 43 miles southwest of the town of Woodstock, where the 3 day concert had originally been planned. Woodstock was not in Woodstock.

It is ranked first among all the international schools. The sister concern KIS is ranked second.

Taking Woodstock is a American comedy-drama film about the history of the Woodstock Festival of 1969, and about how the festival came to me.

No he was not one of the performers at Woodstock. He was very active and successful as a live performer and was doing concerts in New York from 1967 to 1974 in addition to performances in Canada.

Richie Havens's performance at Woodstock was scheduled well in advance. But he was scheduled to paly later on that day mening he was not the opening performer. nothing could have prepared him for the circumstances he found there. Because of traffic problems, none of the early acts arrived on time, the concert was nearly three hours late, and Havens was the first performer to appear before the restive throng.

Woodstock was held from August 15th to August 18th in 1969 at Max Yasgur's 600 acre dairy farm in the Catskills in the town of Bethel. Bethel is 43 miles south of Woodstock, New York.

Woodstock was a music and art fare. Hippies loved to go listen to the bands, kind of like todays concerts, and proberbly smoked drugs and drank alcohol as normal. Other than the usually behaviour from hippies, nothing was bad about Woodstock apart from the occasional fight. It was an amazing event!

Tickets to Woodstock 1969 cost $18 (about $75 in 2009) in advance and $24 at the gate for all three days. Around 186,000 tickets were sold before the concert. This fell well short of the 500,000 that actually showed up and rather then improve fencing/security Woodstock become a free concert.

Michael Wadleigh was the director of the first Woodstock movie and Warner Brothers owns the rights to the images. Sony also owns the rights to much of the footage that was shot in 1969. Unfortunately, the public will not see any raw footage.

Woodstock is a small town in Oxfordshire England but if you mean the music festival of the 1960's, that was in New York State.

Unless you find a home video of it happening, then you won't at all. Abbie Hoffman interrupted The Who's set to try to speak against the jailing of White Panther Party member, John Sinclair. While he was beginning to speak, Pete Townshend reportedly came at Hoffman and him hit him in the back or head with his guitar. This all happened during a camera change, so there's no official footage of it. It can be heard on The Who's box set, Thirty Years of Maximum R&B (Disc 2, Track 20)
