Make sure the email setting is on to get notified when you get recommended.
Once you do that you'll get an email each time someone recommended you. If they recommended you through a question page the name of the question will be mentioned in that email and that's how you'll know for which answer you were recommended.

You do not specifically receive an alert when someone gives you a trust point. However, you can see how many trust points you have if you look on your bio page, in the Stats box on the top-right of the page.

The number of trust points change each time someone gives a trust point to another person, and the change is immediate. The only exception to it being immediate is if you give someone a trust point while at their bio page. You won't see the number go up until you leave that page, then return to it.

No, You CannotOnce you give someone a trust point, you have permanently done so. As of now, it is not possible to take back trust points. However, this may change in the future.

No, it does not.

Not necessarily, another trustee will be appointed.
Can you find out who gives you trust points?
Unfortunately, no. Unless the user messages you and tells you that they've given you a trust point.
How do you know someone gave you a trust point on WikiAnswers?
When you register on WikiAnswers you submit your email. When you receive a trust point, you also receive an email stating that you have received a trust point. The username or IP address who gave you the trust point will not be included however. You can also look on your profile page and see the trust point count.

You can vote a trust point for yourself! Which means you can vote without any reason. And there is no reason that someone can't vote for a friend whether they have answered a question or not.
Can you give someone a trust point for asking a good question?
Although Trust Points are intended to be for outstanding answers, you can award a contributor a Trust Point for asking a good question, or any other community activity.
