How do you find a particular category to answer questions in on this site?
Click on the word "Wikianswers" at the top of this page and it leads to the front page of the site. The categories are listed there. At the bottom right side of the list are the words "More categories". That is one way to get to the categories. You can click on each one to find subcategories. The second way to get to the list of categories is to click on the words "Browse categories" under "Site tools" in the blue bar on the left of every page.

How do you add a new category on WikiAnswers?
You, as a user cannot add new categories - However - you can ask for one to be created if it hasn't already been listed. If you think a new category needs to be created - Click on Browse categories (in the left-hand blue panel). On the new screen - look at the 'Newest categories' list - at the bottom of that list is a line that says "To request a new category, fill out this form" - simply click the blue link - and provide the information asked for. As far as adding more categories to a question that can be done easily through the Edit Categories tool next to the list of categories on the page.
