very good question, i really dont know, usually when i post something on Craigslist, im very desperate in selling whatever it is, so once someone texts me or emails me, i immediately text back or email back and say, yes, its for sale, though half the time, the person either doesnt reply back or says im interested and they say they would come look at it tomorrow or something like that and they never even show up, i just dont get it, the only understanding that i have is that most people on craigslist are pretty broke and cheap and half of them also are either looking to gain a profit out of something doing this with the poor honest people like me that sell items for way less than they should be, so they basically screw you as much as they can. it sucks when sellers dont put phone numbers because there are things that i would like to buy locally the same day or sooner than buying online but they dont reply back until like 1-2 weeks later or more which is stupid, i mean, if your selling something on craiglist, at least be prepared for buyers, and if your out of town for instance, maybe ask someone else to do the transaction for you if its something small like a computer part, shoes, or electronics. the thing is also that people on craigslist dont know about the value of items or even if they know, they dont care, and expect the buyer to sell whatever the thing is for a lot cheaper than it should be so thats another reason why craigslist sucks. and the whole lazy thing, i do hate how people lable others as so called "LAZY" but i mean if anyone were to use this word, it would be buyers on craigslist, they always ask questions on the item when i clearly put all the info down on the ad and pictures, i can understand that your just making sure or simply forgot about a few specs on the item but i mean if your asking literally every question, is it new, is it used, it is blue, green, will it fit, the list goes on, then your just being a bit lazy, the reason why this bothers me is that you get all excited when a buyer calls you knowing that they know what the item is and then you give the info of the ad again and they dont want the item anymore, seriously? why would you even show up then? i mean, you didnt have a clue on what im selling? now ebay, well, you do have more viewers on your items that your selling and people generally know how much something costs or will pay more for an item than if your to post it on craigslist where half the people are broke or too lazy to read/understand what your selling, but the problem with ebay is a lot of money is needed for shipping and fees, my advice is if your selling on ebay, to have maybe a few shipping boxes/envelopes around and possibly make your own shipping labels so you save a bit of money and then the only part you would have to pay is the shipping itself and fees, this is a good and bad thing, its good if you sell the item for a good price while still gaining a good profit after shipping and ebay/PayPal fees, but obviously bad if you lose profit or only make like 1 dollar more for items that are smaller. but yeh, craigslist isnt that good, you have to be more patient, so profit doesnt come at hand too quickly so this in return could be a bad thing, a lot of items, you would have to sell for really low in price because half the people dont care how much the item is worth so they are either looking for bargins/ cheapest items. the only times i would sell something on craigslist at least around the lowest market value prices is things like cars, motorcycles, vehicles, auto parts..because these people can be more serious in buying then if you were to sell something small like a keyboard and mouse for a computer.
