Africa lies just 8 km away from Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar. This strait connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean.
The major land body just south of Spain is Africa. Specifically, the country of Morocco.
There are no countries suspended above the continent of Africa. There are many countries just north across the Mediterranean Sea. Two of them that seem to reach down almost to touch Africa are Italy and Spain.
It is in Europe, so you could say Europe, but it is also very close to Africa at its southern tip, which is just across the sea from Morocco. They can be easily seen from each other. Note: Spain also has territories in Africa (Ceuta and Melilla) and therefore also borders Africa.
Spain
Don't know ... was it Africa? Or Spain? Or is Spain just where we got them for North America?
yes it is just below Spain
There are many European countries north of Africa. Spain, France, and Greece, are just three examples.
If you're in Spain AND you get as close to Africa as you can FIRST, the trip will take just over 30 min. See the related links.

Just south, across the Mediterranean Sea, is Morocco, and to the southeast is Algeria and Tunisia. (The UK territory of Gibraltar is at the southern tip of Spain.)
Morocco
Mauritania is in northwest Africa, but Saudi Arabia is on the Arabian Peninsula in Asia, just across the Red Sea from the northeast coast of Africa.
