You can not accurately assess one culture based on one indivuduals qualities but if you want to get into stereotypes, there are insane amounts of scams in Nigeria directed at American/Canadians to fool them into sending them money thinking they will get something back through the internet, and just recently I saw a posting for a very cheap student apartment rental where you send your deposit because you want it sooo bad for the price, but the owner is in Nigeria... the apartment doesnt exist. Its a scam, so there might be some kind of misunderstanding because of that being a misrepresentation for Nigerian people. I have also almost been scammed when looking for a dog in the news paper, saw an ad for a free dog, all I had to do was send $150 through western union so they can ship it to me because they were doing a "mission in Nigeria". I sent the person an email from a different address and they told me to send $150 for the dog too!
