Hindu culture in Suriname is well established, from a cultural center to festivals to temples. Specifically, the Indian Cultural Centre in Suriname maintains a busy schedule of events and workshops on art, dance, language, music, yoga, etc.

In terms of festivals, the national holiday on June 5th commemorates the Immigration of North Indians to Suriname. March 1st is the date in 2010 for the national holiday of Holi Phagwa, a Hindu festival of colors.
