Who can financing education in Pakistan?

Financing education in the context of Education for All (EFA) goals has emerged as a key area in South Asia. The public sector in Pakistan is responsible for providing free and compulsory education to all citizens. In this context, Pakistan conducted this study to:

• Estimate the financial resources required to meet EFA targets in primary education, adult literacy and early childhood education;
• Assess resources available to meet EFA needs;
• Highlight the financial gap, which domestic effort and external assistance would have to fill;
• Capture the essence of public private partnerships in vogue, as well as assess its financial implications through case studies.
