Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were the only presidents that were impeached by the House. Neither were removed from office, that is done through the senate. Nixon would have been impeached, however he resigned from office to avoid impeachment.

There has only been two formal impeachments since Richard Nixon resigned because of the watergate scandal and to avoid impeachment. The first president to be impeached was Andrew Johnson and the second was Bill Clinton, and neither of them were convicted or removed from office.

Nixon was not impeached since he resigned soon after preliminary impeachment proceeding began. Bill Clinton was impeached in 1996 t but was not convicted in the Senate trial that followed.
