Technically, there were no winners of the Battle of Asiago in 1916. However, Italy did succeed in preventing a complete takeover. Austria-Hungary invaded Italy, and the Italian military was able to wear them down to the point of retreating. Despite that, Italy's political structure struggled and changed, and both sides sustained numerous casualties.
