Mexico had warned the United States that the annexation of Texas would be considered an act of War by Mexico. The US Annexed and Mexico failed to declare War, but it did reinforce the troop strength on its border and broke diplomatic relations with the United States.

Well................. It really helped TX much much more ( I am already writing a stupid essay on this annexation as we speak so I am not explaining), but I supposed it help America. US did have to go war with Mexico after annexing TX because Mexico never really acknowledged the fact that Texas rebelled against them, and were independent so they thought America STOLE Texas from them so they went to war with US. US won this war and received a lot of land from Mexico which helped them expand westward which the Americans believed was there "destiny". Which is where you hear about the "manifest destiny" in U.S and TX history.

Dang! I am America, and even I admit we were pretty annoying. I understand why nobody liked us back then or today really , and look at our presidents we have had lately.
