The Colonists were furious, for it wasn't their fault that Britain was so much in debt because of the French and Indian War. They thought that they shouldn't have to pay a debt that wasn't theirs.
They felt abused and ridiculed because they felt that they were only being used for financial aide. Most of the colonists were not even well off, and these taxes and acts that were being passed made there life harder economically.
They saw the colonies as power; more land equaled more power. They also depended on them for raw supplies and money. (see navigation acts)

The term "Pilgrim" is both a general and specific term. It is specific to a set of colonists from Europe, as well as a general term to describe all colonists from Europe. Given in a specific answer the Wampanoags were the Native Americans in that area where they (the specific pilgrims) settled. As a general term there were hundreds of tribes involved in the originally settled colonies.

"Taxation without Representation" was one of the base complaints that the American Colonists had with their British rulers. Most Americans were British citizens, and the Colonies in general saw themselves as extensions of the British homeland, not merely "part" of the Empire. As such, they viewed themselves as having all the rights and responsibilities that normal British subjects had. Thus, the idea that the British Parliament could pass laws and taxation without having any American MPs sitting in Parliament was offensive, in the same way that any British person living in (say) Liverpool would have expected an MP to represent them. The catch phrase "No Taxation without Representation" neatly summed up this idea that Americans saw themselves as part of a government as a whole, and expected that government would at least allow them a democratic say in it. That the British government would not allow the Colonists such representation helped fuel the idea that it was not a legitimate government for the Colonies; thus, if the British government wasn't a legitimate government, the Colonists must provide their own one. Q.E.D. - a revolution was justified.

Colonists grew rice and indigo in the southern colonies. This included the colonies of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, where colonists set up plantations. In fact, Indigo and rice became a major export crop of the general region.
Taxation without representation was the straw that broke the camels back, but in a general sense the colonies were sick of being the free i.v drip for Great Britain. GB had exhausted all of it's natural resources and was importing goods from the colonies and reselling them to sustain itself. The colonies were basically like, "we can do that ourselves, we don't need you at all. You're freeloading."
The British government believed it had legal authority in the colonies, based on their interpretation of the British constitution and the concept of parliamentary sovereignty. They maintained that the colonies were subject to British laws and regulations.

According to mercantilism, the colonies were required to engage in two general behaviors: (1) The colonies were locked into exclusive trade between the colonies and the metropole and were not allowed to trade with any other nation or colony. (2) No manufactures or complex goods could be made in the colonial territory. As a result the colonies would provide wealth to the metropole by trading their natural resources for less than they would be worth and by buying manufactures for much more money.
