There were three states- New York (twin towers), Virginia (Pentagon), and Pennsylvania (where Flight 93 crashed).
11 states were apart of the confederacy. 1.Texas 2.Arkansas 3.Mississippi 4.Alabama 5.Georgia 6.Florida 7.South Carolina 8.North Carolina 9.Virginia 10.Tennessee 11.Louisiana
After the attack on Fort Sumter in April 1861, four additional states seceded from the Union: Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. These states joined the Confederacy, driven by various factors including regional loyalty, economic interests, and the desire to preserve slavery. Their secession contributed to the escalation of the Civil War, as they joined the original seven states that had already left the Union.
the 4 states that touch at corners is Colorado,New Mexico,Utah, and Arizona
The four upper south states did not all secede on the same day. The day after the attack on Fort Sumter, April 15, 1861, Lincoln called for 75,000 troops to help "suppress the rebellion", and assigned a quota of part of that 75,000 to each state, including the four states of the upper south. That put those four states to the decision of whether to help make war on their relatives and neighbors in adjoining states, or to throw in with them. Each of the four states had to work its way through whatever political framework had been created for making the decision on whether to secede. Virginia, for instance, had a Convention to decide the issue which had been meeting since February 13, after the seven states which were the first to secede had formed the Confederate States of America on February 4. The Virginia Convention had actually voted against secession on April 4, but then eight days later the attack on Sumter began, and on April 15 came Lincoln's call for troops from Virginia. Since the Virginia Convention was already meeting and able to decide the issue, they were able to vote to secede on April 17. It took North Carolina a month longer, because a statewide referendum had to be organized to let all the eligible voters vote on the issue, so North Carolina did not secede until May 20.

December 7 & September 11 are very similar. Both were surprise attacks. Both occurred on US soil. Both were conducted by AIRCRAFT. Both attacks had similar numbers of casualties. Both attacks were caught on film. Both brought the US into GLOBAL WAR; World War II & The Global "WAR ON TERRORISM." Differences: 1. December 7, was NOT a suicide attack by aircraft, but a conventional air raid (aerial attack). September 11, WAS a suicide attack by aircraft. 2. December 7, was an attack by Japanese WARPLANES. September 11, was an attack by OUR OWN CIVILIAN Airplanes (Hi-jacked/Captured). 3. December 7, was an attack by HUNDREDS of aircraft. September 11, was an attack by only 3 or 4 aircraft (two into the World Trade Center buildings; one into the Pentagon, and one into an open field). 4. December 7, was an attack by Aircraft Carrier Launched Airplanes; September 11, was an attack by Land Based (Civilian) Aircraft.
