Even if the Japanese would not have attacked Pearl Harbor (which is why the U.S. entered the war), we probably still would have gotten involved once we saw what Hitler was really capable of. But if we didn't enter all together, Hitler may have completed his goal of world domination, with Western Europe falling, leading into Greenland and then Canada, which then would have been too late for the U.S. to stop them. After that, Hitler would probably taken over America, and we might all be speaking German today. So even though Pearl Harbor was a devastating attack that lost many innocent American lives, it probably saved millions of other civilian and military lives that would have been needlessly taken by the German army.

It's difficult to answer such questions, but one fact you may be unaware of:The US didn't actually "decide to fight Hitler". The US decided to fight Japan (largely because of the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor), and Germany (which was allied with Japan at the time) declared war on the US in response.

It's unlikely that Germany would have allowed the US to traipse about Berlin singing "La la la, we're not fighting Hitler, la la" after that, but it is true that Germany was a considerable distance from the US and not really in any position to actively prosecute an invasion of the US by that point in the war, so the US could have committed the bulk of its forces to the Pacific Theater and let Europe sort things out on its own. Germany did try to get Mexico to attack the US to serve as a distraction, but Mexico wasn't having any part of it, because they knew a) the Germans couldn't provide any meaningful support and b) without support the US would crush them in short order.

US forces in Europe did have a noticeable impact on the war there, but the UK had been at least holding the Germans at bay, and the USSR was following the quintessential Russian strategy of trading land for time to bring its full military might into readiness. And by the time the US entered the war, the Soviets were already starting to retake regions the Germans had invaded ... Germany was already doomed by that point.

So, all in all, the biggest impacts would likely have been:

Japan would have been beaten faster (due to the increased troops and equipment available because they weren't being sent to Europe instead), the atom bomb wouldn't have been ready in time, and the US would probably have had to go through with a full-scale invasion. Japan would have been decimated (an invasion would have killed many more civilians than the two atomic bombs did) and might even have become a US possession outright.

In Europe, the Soviets might have taken possession of more of Germany than the one-quarter they wound up with in our timeline, possibly even the whole thing.

That would likely have at least forestalled the collapse of the Iron Curtain, and from that point you're going to have to make your own guesses.
