Do you mean Louis XVI, who was guillotined in 1793? His son is believed to have died in 1795, although there are always other wild ideas afloat. But that's why the next king called himself Louis XVIII, leaving a number vacant for the poor kid, who was only ten years old in 1795. The name of the boy was Louis Charles de Bourbon, and became Louis XVII on the death of his father on January 21st 1793, as the French guillotined the King of France Louis XVI. He was held prisoner and was abused and tortured in a horrible way by his keepers. His mother was Marie Antoinette. The French also guilotined her in 1793, but before they did so, they took him away from her, imprisoned him in a dark cell and forced him to drink alcohol and sing revolutionary songs. They even made him sign a document saying he was sexually abused by his mother and aunt, which was absolutely not true, but the French needed an excuse to let all the rest of the country see her as an animal instead of a poor inocent woman. Louis Charles died in 1795 in his prison. His heart was taken out (this was the normal custom with French princes) and is still on display today in the St Denis cathedral in Paris. Some say he had escaped prison and was switched with a different boy, but this is not true. The rest of his body was never recovered, but with DNA testing on the heart and Marie Antouinette's hair, it was 99,9% proven that it was his heart.

How were king Louis XV and king louisXIV related?

Louis XIV was the great-grandfather of Louis XV. Louis XIV had a son: Louis, dauphin of France. This son married and got a son as well: Louis, duke of Burgundy. This latter also had a son, and this was Louis XV. Because Louis dauphin of France and Louis duke of Burgundy both died at a very young age, Louis XV could become King. He did so, aged 5 in 1715.

Were there any kings of France after Louis XVI?

Officially, Louis XVI was the last real King of France of the old regime. He was the last King of France with actual reigning power. After him, Napoleon Bonaparte crowned himself emperor of France, so then France was an empire. After Napoleon, the monarchy in France was restored, and Louis XVIII (a.k.a. Comte de Provence, the bother of Louis XVI) became King of France, but he had no reigning power, being only a King in name since the old regime had been abolished in 1792. After him, his brother became King, King Charles X (a.k.a. Comte de Artois, another brother of Louis XVI). After him, Louis Philippe (the cousin of King Charles X) became King. After them, France turned into a Republic and had presidents.

Who is the king in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn?

In chapter 19, the 'king' describes himself as "the poor disappeared Dauphin, Louis XVII, son of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette" (spelling regularized). Or, do you want his personal name, as an American confidence man? I do not believe that the real-life names of the 'duke' and 'king' appear anywhere in the book.
