Eastern Germany was granted to Poland (Silesia, Pommerania, Prussia). Western Soviet Union was returned to the USSR from Poland who annexed it post-Polish-Soviet War.

The demographics of Poland and the Czech Republic changed dramatically. German civilians in former Eastern Germany and the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia were expelled or murdered, and in Poland the Poles in Ruthenia were relocated to the former German cities such as Danzig or Breslau, where they became Gdansk and Wroclaw.

Germany and Austria were divided into occupation zones which later developed into East Germany, West Germany, and modern Austria.

Italy was stripped of its colonies.

China was left still in the grip of civil war which ended in 1948 with a Communist victory, leading to the PRC today.

Japan was stripped of its colonies.

The USSR created Moldova from occupied Romania, which to this day exists.
