You can't put just anything into a fishtank. Some items outgas (give off gas) and/or leach (leak) chemicals that are toxic to fish. Some of the most common "bad for the fish" decorations: Metals that rust Concrete Silicone with antibacterial/antimold properties Colored glass of unknown origin (arsenic was a common coloring agent at one time) Copper items Anything with pointed or sharp edges (rocks, glass, wood, whatever) Painted or stained items: paint will eventually flake and stain will leach unless the item has been properly sealed. Even a proper sealing only delays the inevitable flaking/leaching. Dirty rocks (you know the stones with dark spots of oil and gas that you find at the edge of parking lots? Don't use 'em).
Assuming a tank mate did not nibble the tail off, bad water chemistry (ph too low, for example) can dissolve fins and tails. or if a tank mate didn't nibble it off it could just be of bad age or something like that
Leaving a fish tank outside is not recommended as it can expose the fish to extreme temperatures, predators, and other environmental hazards. It is best to keep the fish tank indoors where you can control the temperature and conditions to ensure the well-being of the fish.
Different species of fish live at different levels of the water. So eather you have all top-dwellers, you don't have airation, you have only anabantois (bad spelling), or you have very poor water quality.
well, yes...as far as I know. Unless the tv set were to FALL. It is not good to hang a fish tank over a tv set, though, 'cause when you're adding water, the water could drip on the tv and that'd be BAD.
Fish tanks around the size of 1 gallon and up. I know what some people tell you. ( beta fish do beater in bowls, because they live in puddles, and they live longer and happier.) One, beta fish are breed in lakes and ponds. Second, how would you like living in your nasty closet forever? I have a beta who lives excellently in a ten gallon tank, which lived for three years till he died of old age, NOT IN BAD CONDITIONS. And third, whoever told you the opposite, is a corrupted business man, who knows nothing but how to make money of suckers quick. Just get a one gallon tank, and your fish will live longer, and less bored. You will also clean it allot less.
Yes, tapping on a fish tank can stress out the fish and potentially harm them. It is best to avoid tapping on the tank to ensure the well-being of the fish.
The turtles will eat the fish.
Yes, black algae in a fish tank can be harmful to the fish and the overall tank environment. It can compete with plants for nutrients, block light, and release toxins that can negatively impact water quality and the health of the fish. Regular maintenance and cleaning are important to prevent the growth of black algae in a fish tank.
ya who asked this?

I would definitely not do this. The chemicals from the paint can be extremely toxic to the fish and can possibly be fatal. If you want your betta to stay healthy, do not use paint in their tank!
Bad idea if you have un-sturdy floors.
The fish are not bad together. But way to many fish for a ten gallon tank. You put one fish for every gallon. They will probly do fine but you will have to clean more.
no, they cant get the female guppies to get off of them! what does a fish have to do to get out of a tank full of female fish. its like you are the last man on the planet trapped inside a cage with 50 women who want to get it on with you. : o
