Yes, there are feline hermaphrodites. My cat is one. My cat has a small penis, but he also has an opening similar to a vagina. In male cats, there is space with fur between the uretha and the anus. Female cats don't have that much space, and it sort of looks like an upside down exclamation point. Three vets all examined my cat to determine its gender, and they all agreed that he just didn't have what he needed to have to be a boy, but he definitely had what appears to be a penis.
(None of this is easy to see. My cat howls when they poke and prod him to examine his genitalia.)
Yes a female cat can get pregnant by 2 or 3 males at the same time
No. A male cat does not have the correct reproductive organs to carry and give birth to kittens. Only female cats can have kittens.
No. Some cats are born "hermaphroditic", having both sets of sex organs, but it is extremely unlikely that anyone will ever operate on a cat to change its gender.
Hermaphroditic cats are not unknown. However, cats showing this sort of birth defect are generally not fertile, either with other cats or with themselves.
maybe if it has a disease
No, it is not.
Genetically, a hermaphrodite is someone who has two x and one y chromosome. Physically, a hermaphrodite is someone who is a mix between male and female, usually having a penis, a vagina and full breasts.
Sort of. A Calico cat is almost always (99.9% of the time) going to be female. The reason is that the female has two X genes, one has to carry red and the other black to get the 3 color effect. For a male to be a calico, it has to have XXY and is normally sterile.
Yes, it's true that a female cat can mate with several male cats and have a litter of kittens of all colors and that goes for dogs as well.
A FEMALE cat, until she is spayed or births at least one (1) litter of kittens, is called a Molly by most veterinarians and animal experts. If she is spayed or has had at least one litter of kittens, she is called a Queen. I know this question is old but 🤷🏽♀️
He is still called a Tom Cat. Females are called Queens.gib (gb)NOUN:: A male cat, especially a castrated one. http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/gib_2;_ylt=AjYR5eQ7LDxsIyrG9UYf3_GugMMF
A male cat is a Tom, a female cat is a Queen, and a young cat is a kitten.
an organism having both male and female reproductive organs is called hermaphrodite.
Um.. one has the reproductive organs of a male and one doesn't.
A male shark has two reproductive organs called claspers. A female shark has one reproductive organ called a cloaca.
I have found that male cats are much, much more loving, but are very inclined to stray. where as female cats can be a little bit uninterested in you,but do stray very often. but i would have to say get a male cat.
May be male or female
A sterile cat is one that cannot produce offspring. It can be a female that has been spayed or a male that has been neutered. It can also be from disease or a deformity.
Leeches are hermaphrodites, meaning each one of them has both female and male reproductive organs (ovaries and testes respectively). -Wikipedia
Well, in our school, we did a survey of the whole school of the people who had cats and wether their female or male and it seemed that the female cat, produces more of the male gender then the female gender, and cat owners prefer male cats since their more outgoing and cuddly, while the female is more conservative and keeps to herself. So ,our result was 3/5 of the cat population is male, ironic huh, since the female cat is the only one that produces :) AHAHA
