It depends on the lion. However, unless you have a license to own an exotic animal and have EXTENSIVE training with exotic pets I wouldn't recommend owning one. In Texas they run anywhere between 15,000-25,000. To purchase one you have to go to a government office to get an approval. These animals do not belong in a domesticated environment. They are very dangerous and are cruel to own if you just want one 'as a pet'.
