I charge $15 per walk in MA. It really depends on where you live and what the going rate/time is. In affluent communities it's more than blue collar or "normal" working class areas. Call around to other dog walkers and ask them what their rates are. It's called shopping the competition.
I wouldn't charge per hour.
You should charge for every walk, yes. That doesn't mean you shouldn't offer discounts for plans which involve purchasing more walks than 1 per day. For example you might offer a 10% discount for 2 walks per day. For your infrequent clients, you might consider offering them bulk plans where they purchase 10 walks at a time up front. For your regular weekly clients charge them a week in advance rather than per walk. Many walkers charge in arears, I do not, I learned charging ahead of time works much better in terms of getting paid in a timely fashion. You might also consider using recurrent credit card billing via PayPal.
Yes, it is not unreasonable to charge a surcharge for "out of control" dogs. If you are a capable trainer, you can offer retraining or behavior modification to your services.

Good Luck!
I accually made flyers and put them in my neighborhoods mail boxes and it showed them the price which was $4 dollars for big dogs and $2 for small dogs. That is reasonable but no higher. We started yesterday and already have 3 or 4 buyers and theres 30 dog owners on our street. But make sure if its neighbors give them a email and a number to contact you at.
I would pay the dog walker $15 - $20 a week, depending on how well they exercised the dog. So, if I wanted them to walk my dog for three weeks at the end of three weeks the dog walker would have earned $60. If I wanted them to walk my dog for a month (lets say January, so 5 weeks), and I paid them $20 dollars each week, the dog walker would earn $100 dollars when the five weeks were over. If I wanted them to walk my dog for a full year, which is 365 (non - leap year) days, and I paid them $20 dollars each week, they would earn...*drum roll*...$7,300! Wow, that's a lot of money! But you could choose between $15 and $20, depending on what suites for you best.
Generally $15.00 for a good 30 minute walk is what you can expect from an experienced pet sitter. Some pet sitters reduce the cost if they do it daily. OR if you are extra sweet and do extra stuff, they might pay you more.
Its subjective. It depends how much your employer wants to pay you.
Lazy-relaxed dog/not much care needed 1$-2$
Normal/normal amount of care needed 3$-$3.50
energetic-hyper/big-huge care needed4$-7$
Dogs can be priced from free to thousands of dollars. So, it depends on the type of dog your referring to!
i walk dogs and i charge $1 an hour $2 every two hours and so on
pet grooming dog walking feeding play time
you should be able to start at 13
As much as the store wants to charge for it.
You should walk your dog at least 2 to 3 yards away from another dog. You shouldn't even be walking you dog.
You should feed your dog twice or three times a day so they won't go hungry. ;)
It depends on how far you are goin to be walking the dog. usually anywhere from 10 to 50$ dollars.
We give our dog walker $3 for just a short walk around the block in the Midwest!
You should charge depending on the length of the trip. For example, maybe about $2-5 AUS per kilometre. Im trying to start a Dog walking and Sitting Business. And Depending on the Size and Difficulty with the dog should deterine the price. I would do it depending on the size and how the dog acts. Also on how far you have to go to do the job.
i have a dog walking business and i charge $8 per walk and $2 extra for a longer walk.
$10 a day
I used to have my own business walking dogs, and so what I used to do was charge two dollars for a big-medium dog, and then one for a small dog. If you are going to walk them for thirty minutes, then I suggest charging the $2/big-medium or the $1/small as a base fee and then fifty cents - maybe? - for every thirty minutes.
This answer depends on how credible their dog walking service is. If it a fledgling company, then give them a decent amount around $5 to $10. If it a regular dog walker, then spend $10 to $20. This will show not only your appreciation on the job well done, but also add a minute amount of credibility to strengthen their company for the future.
as soon as you get the dog
At least $10 because a mile is 5,280 feet. Half a mile you pay only $5. And a short walk $2. That is a good way to do it, but from the way i see it, you should charge for the minutes, like, $5 for a 15 min. walk, or $8-$10 for a half hour. that's what i would charge anyway. anything longer than a half hour should be negotiated with the dog owner.
easy. u shouldn't name ur dog walking company.
The Dog is fine
I think people should walk dogs, (as a job), for about 2-5 dollars a dog and 5-8 dollars every time you walk a dog... :)
