I have a horse who currently has acorn poisoning. All 9 of my horses started actively searching out a d eating the oak acorns this fall, and would leave grass and hay untouched, in favor of consuming the acorns. I have read that acorns aren't consumed by horses very frequently, so I guess I'm feint a bit unlucky to have every one of my horses gobbling up the acorns. When one of my geldings started behaving sickly, I pulled all the horses from their grazing acreage and have them in drylot corrals being fed hay. I have over 200 oak trees, and in the last 10 years, this year we have far more acorns than ever before. The symptoms are easy to see: an affected horse is not quite himself. He appears very lethargic and a bit weak. He lies down and seems weak upon rising. He is uninterested in his grain, a d only picks at his grass hay and alfalfa. He has markedly increased urination and increases water consumption. His stomach muscles are tight and he acts lime he just doesn't feel well. I'm waiting it out to see if my boy pulls through okay and am hoping for the best, since there is no antidote, only supportive care. Some report diarrhea or constipation and blood in the manure or urine - my gelding hasn't Shown these symptoms so far.
The knobby area on top of a horses' head and between the ears is called the poll.
Leopard spot is for a horse with leopard like markings. A grey horse with flecks is flea-bitten grey. A horse with normal spots has appaloosa markings
Horses do get ticks, they can just be hard to spot. The most common areas are under the jaw line, inside the ears, on the stomach and under the tail head.
albino corn snakes are very rarely born in the wild.they almost always are bred in captivity. when born in the wild they are easy to spot, and therefore are easy prey for anything that is big enough to eat it.
Yes! Rainrot is very contaigous to horses. Once you spot it, mix a little iodine in shampoo until it is like a little darker, then bathe them with the little iodine/shampoo.
yes they do.Dont you think horses should have some time in the spot light? i do!
Like all fairies she was born with them but must collect an acorn from an ancient oak tree at a bend in a river during the full moon and plant the acorn far away from that spot to recharge her magic.
not easy i dont think
Timbuktu makes great bags that are brightly colored and very easy to spot.
Usually, some where in a grassy area or a silent spot where people usually don't go. Horses like to be alone and not bothered. if you are looking for a tamed horse or pony, they will usually wander off to an other ranch where there are more pony's and horses to interact with.
So they are easy to spot
Horses are in the primary consumer spot on a food chain. That is the level above the producers, aka plants.
The problem with wikapedia is if you have a free account then you can edit the articles. For example the article may be about lets say horses, in the middle of the horse article a person could have changed Horses are mamals to horses are hatched from an egg, etc etc. No offense but don't rely on wikapedia sometimes the changed facts arne't as easy to spot as the one i talked about above!
white spot, gill flukes, lesions, hole in the head, ammonia poisoning,

'spot' EASY
So that they can spot predators soon enough to run away since horses instinct is flight not fight.
