Preserved footprints left behind by animals are called ichnites. The study of ichnites is called ichnology. An example of ichnites is the trace fossils found in Kenya which are imprints of 1.5 million-year-old human footprints.

This is not really a question, but I'm going to assume you are asking for information about them. Fossilized imprints of footprints from animals are under the category of trace fossils. Trace fossils are geological records of biological activity. Some of the most spectacular trace fossils are the massive, three-toed footprints produced by dinosaurs. Fossils of bones can reconstruct the skeletons, but only footprints can show how ancient animals stood.

Footprints (and similar marks left by other body parts) are referred to as trace impressions or trace fossils. This would include impressions of where insects landed and took off, claw marks from digging or feather impressions.
