1) must be adapted to dramatic change in temperature.
2)dramatic change in moisture
3)and salinity and must be able to withstand the force of wave action.
Hope that helped! I actually just had the same question in my science text book and this answer came right out of the article! xD
Animals that live in the intertidal zone have to deal with exposure to air, as well as strong currents. Many organisms such as sea stars or sea urchins have developed what are called tube feet. Tube feet help to secure them to their rock. So some form of anchoring themselves. To deal with sun exposure, snails such as periwinkles and oyster drills . This forms a watertight seal around the shell, protecting them from the sun. So here, it would be moisture control.
Once the tide flows out, the intertidal zone is exposed to the air and sun.
the organism adapt to their environment by staying there in their birth and growing up there

The Intertidal Zone, Coastal Zone, Open Ocean, Ocean Trench, Photic Zone, and Aphotic Zone. (i asked this question then found it in my textbook)
Abiotic factors are non-living chemical or physicals factors that will effect the environment. The major abiotic factors that produce the Earth's main climate zones are temperature, precipitation, humidity and winds.
Different types of plants and animals live in torrid temperature zones compared to frigid zones. Tropical animals such as parrots and monkeys live in torrid temperatures zones. Plants like banana and coconut trees are in torrid zones. Animals like polar bears and arctic foxes live in frigid zones.
Biozones.
There are 5 ocean zones, sunlight zone, twilight zone, midnight zone, abyss, and the trench zones I am a 9 year old and my name is Anthony
Wave action Your Welcome :)
Zonation occurs in the ocean zone called the intertidal. Zonation is the distribution of organisms in biogeographic zones. It is also the arrangement or formation in zones.
Intertidal zones are areas of the shoreline that are covered by water during high tide and uncovered during low tide. They are home to a diverse range of marine organisms adapted to living in this dynamic and challenging environment.

Organisms in the intertidal zone experience greater extremes of temperature and wave action than organisms in the near shore zone.
4 the spray zone the upper intertidal zone the mid intertidal zone the lower intertidal zone

There are two major ocean zones, Pelagic and Benthic zones. The Pelagic zone is the open ocean and the Benthic zone is the ocean bottom.

Usually in tropical Pacific oceans. They live in intertidal zones.
