A pup's sex doesn't affect their birth order.
I have had 7 puppies as a maiden (first) litter. I have known one female to have 9 puppies for each of the 3 litters she had. average is between 4 and 6, however it can be as little as 1 or 2 or as big as 10 or 12. It all depends on the female every dog is different.
In speaking with my vet and going through this for my first time. The vet told me puppies can be dewormed at 2 weeks with their first shots being done at 1 month.
Puppies are carried inside the female dog's body in her uterus. The dog's uterus is located in the entire middle abdomen. Puppies may not be able to be felt at first from the outside rubbing on the abdomen. Sometimes the puppies can not be felt at all because not all dogs carry a full litter.
It is not unusual the female to only have two or even one puppy; especially if it is her first litter.
Sexual intercourse between a dog (male) and a bitch (female) transfers the male's sperm to the female's vagina. The sperm travel through the uterus and fertilize the female's eggs. The eggs implant in the wall of the uterus and an umbilicus forms which allows oxygen and nutrients to transfer from mother to puppy and waste products to travel from puppy to mother during the puppies' development. Once the puppies are fully developed contractions of the mother's uterus expel the puppies.

If the female is in her cycle now she will definitely get pregnant and the puppies might not make it. Your dog WILL NOT make it. I am sorry it has happened to my dog. The puppies did not make and either did the mother.

give her calcium supplements and/or feed her puppy chow and milk. That many puppies can suck the calcium from her and kill her. First, she will start seizuring. Then, you have 12 hours to get her help. The vet bill will be expensive.
As Dobermanns are quite large dog's they can have litters ranging from 6 to 10 puppies. However, this depends greatly upon the age and experience of the mother and her health. First time mums tend to have smaller litters.
human in the bible but in science, the monkey comes first as the human being.
This is not unusual for first time mothers and young females. Sometimes Dog's do have smaller litters but other than the female being a first time mother there is no real reason. Often a Dog which has a small litter will, when bred again, have a comparitively large litter.
