Although you never see it on television wildlife programs, the saw scaled viper is responsible for more deaths, worldwide, than any other snake. It isn't very big, from one to two feet in length, but it is very aggressive and its hemotoxic venom is very lethal in humans. They are found in the Middle East, Pakistan, and India. I'm sure that if they were larger and flared their necks like a cobra, they'd get better press.
