i have the same truck and the same problem. i have only replaced the egr valve, iac valve, and o2 sensors. I've read some threads of later model trucks with a possible dpfe sensor problem instead thoughdpfe sensor or carbon build up inside the intake
usually this means that your solenoid needs to be changed
The exhaust manifold on a Chevy S10 truck is changed by removing the spark plugs, unbolting the manifold from the cylinder heads, and unbolting the collector. The manifold can then be removed from the vehicle and a new set put in its place.
You probably replaces the purge solenoid on the intake, you want the vent solenoid at the canister.
there are two solenoids that seem to be mistaken for each other. the purge solenoid is a little black box above your spare tire. can be changed with a standard screw driver and pliers. the vent solenoid is located on the top passenger side of the intake manifold. it will be hiding next to the heater hoses that run into the fire wall. its bolted down with two bolts and the electrical plug sits right on top with a hose that travels down the back of the engine block passed the distributor.
yes
The manifold if the metal tube that directs the gas from the gas valve to (2-10) orifices so each orifice receives the same amount of pressure. This manifold is factory made and should never be changed.
Bad battery, bad solenoid, bad cables.
Yes, there used to not be any set distance at all No, the distance between bases has not changed since major league baseball began in 1876. The distance between home plate and the pitchers mound changed several times before it settled at 60'6" in 1893.
Solenoid could be installed incorrectly. Could be electrical connection on the solenoid. Did you re-connect the battery? Could be a bad starter motor...or a stuck starter motor. Sometimes a light tap or two on the starter motor (not the solenoid) with a hammer will free it up.
I changed the manifold gaskets on my 2000 Malibu 3.1 and it is running just fine!Get a haynes manual from the parts place and the instructions are in it. The book at advanced auto is about 20.00.
no, the bolt pattern on the small block Chevy intake manifold changed in '87 to the vortec head design, but if it doesnt have the centerbolt valve covers, then it will.
If your '99 Maxima will not start even after you have changed the starter, you might have a dead battery or a bad starter solenoid. You could also have an empty gas tank.
