there are two solenoids that seem to be mistaken for each other. the purge solenoid is a little black box above your spare tire. can be changed with a standard screw driver and pliers. the vent solenoid is located on the top passenger side of the intake manifold. it will be hiding next to the heater hoses that run into the fire wall. its bolted down with two bolts and the electrical plug sits right on top with a hose that travels down the back of the engine block passed the distributor.
