Either valve lifters or piston slap. Either way it should not be a huge problem if the problem goes away after the vehicle heats up. Use a high mileage oil, or an oil additive. If you are concerned have it evaluated by a reputable mechanic or a knowledgable friend.
Could be a bad water pump on the engine or the radiator is getting plugged or not big enough, also you might want to put in a new thermostat.

Radiation never heats up .... when it is absorbed by matter then the matter heats up.
