the whole motor.
your timing can not be right
check your fuel presure regulator Might be as simple as a fuel filter. Or could be many many things. Good to start with this and vacuum and potential bad sensors like EGR or MAP sensor. If your fuel pump (inside the gas tank) has been changed recently, then that is ruled out. I had the same problem. It was tested as being the Map sensor. The pistons were firing out of time and the engine ended up running rich. The catalytic converter ended up becoming clogging and turning cherry red because of the rich mixture. I also had a 1992 Olds Cutlass Supreme. I have the same problem with my 91 olds, its in the IAC motor, take it out and clean it.
i had same problem on my 94 cutlass supreme...long story short, it was the ignition switch. $300. at shop.
i had this same problem with my 85 and about 3 months later my fuel pump went out changed it, workds fine now
AnswerThere is not enough information in your question. A cylinder piston you do not compress, you compress the rings in the piston. There are pistons in the brake system. There is no way of knowing the problem without being more specific.I'm assuming you mean the caliper piston. If it can't be compressed, replace the caliper.
i had this problem recently i cleaned the egr valve and changed the maf senor the gas and air mixture is off the gas is burning rich
I had this problem with a 91 Cutlass Supreme. I had to send it to the shop, and it took them a while to figure it out. Turned out to be an electrical short affecting the number 1 fuel injector. It was a nightmare, we changed the fuel pump and ECM. I don't know for sure if this is your problem, but it might be.
on my 94 3.4 maro i had the same problem so i went a head and checked the pistons and the cylinder head for cracks but it turned out to be the camshaft it was all worn so i got that changed oh and i changed the timing chain to. To complete it i changed the valve springs and did a complete tune up. Trust me its worth it you wont have that problem no more and your car wont start shaking but it was about 400$ well good look on your camaro
It probably needs freon. 99% of the time that's the problem..
Sounds like a transmission problem
i would say because it is not getting spark but i have a 77 cutlass with the same problem so check it for spark
I HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON AUDI A4 2004 PLATE, IM CONVINCED THAT IT IS CAUSED BY EXHAUST BLOWING AS IVE HAD IT SERVICED RECENTLY
