Still sounds like your needle and seat in your carbs are sticking. As when you turn on the choke it bypasses the idle circuit and gives the engine fuel,but when the choke is turned off it starves for fuel. If not have you changed the fuel filter? Clean the carbs again

try cleaning the carb. generally when it starts and dies it is a sign of a blocked passage in the carb

Sounds like the EGR valve needs to be cleaned or replaced.
The injectors may need cleaned. There may also be a problem with the carburetor not ejecting enough gas to the engine.
