Figure out whether the car has an alarm system. Aftermarket or original. It may have freaked out.
i am having the same problem and i have replaced the battery and no luck now i am blowning the battery fuse and have a short somewhere
I may be having the same problem. I replaced the battery. The interior lights, siren, horn, radio all work, but the car will not turn-over when the ignition is turned. I am really interested in how to unlock the vehicle.
I dont have an answer but I am having the same problem. My car wouldn't start but when I turned the key, the lights (hazard and dash lights) started blinking. I think it's a warning that the battery is not completely connected. We tightened the clamps (which were very loose) and it stopped.
I had this problem and had the oil pressure checked, which was fine, and the sensor replaced..a few days later it came on again. Found out i had a bad battery. I bought a new battery today and so far no blinking oil can! I have read about other folks having the same problem with a bad battery.
I have a 2000 Malibu and I am having the same problem. There is an electrical problem. I have yet to figure out how to solve it, but turning on the AC blows the fuse. Ive had the instrument cluster replaced, so dont go and do that, because your car will still do the same thing. Your BCM (Body Control Module) may need to be replaced, or it is just a bad wiring. If you have replaced your battery, that may be a part of the problem. I know this information is not much, but hopefully it will help. I have a 2000 Malibu and I am having the same problem. My epc light came on because of battery failure. My battery was acting funny and barely starting the car. I went to autozone and had them check my battery which ended up having a bad cell. I replaced the battery and the car easily started up. After the car started the light never came back on.
i think you are having problem with your alternator its not charging your battery
yes.
sounds like the battery is worn out when the engine is hot it takes more battery to start
had the same problem it was just the fuse
Try having battery charged It may have been discharged to the point that it will not accept a charge and willhave to be replaced After having battery charged check the alternator with a voltmeter - should read approx. 12.8 without engine running and 13.8-14.2 with engine running
I disagree. I was having issues with my heater taking a long time to heat up. I had to have my battery replaced and my heater functioned normally after that.
