Your truck will show true to 1 million miles. then it will go back to zero.

Locate the plug on the bottom of the radiator to drain it. Put some radiator cleaner in and drain it again.

no, installing a new engine will not reset the odometer, it's against the law to reset odometers.
Exactly the same problem on my 2000 Silverado, I'm going to try to wedge the window from the door then use a slim Jim it unlock again, after that going to take panel off to find problem.
Your probably spotting
This is really not an answer but I drive a 2001 Suburban and I have snapped the cover off and unscrewed the module. It is only the odometer that is not visible but when I slip the module out the thing is visible. On a cold day not long ago I cranked my truck and the odometer came on for a minute and went out again. I think the wiring is loose but it is difficult to see behind the thing.
You can call the dealer and give them the VIN# and ask them if they will tell you the gear ratio in your truck. PARTS DEPARTMENT. There's no way we can tell you what it is. If the GM dealer won't help you, then asked your question again and we will tell you what to do. so you will no yourself.

Question is unclear. A mile is 5,280 feet and shows up in 10th's of a mile on most vehicle odometers. Of course thiere is no such thing as 10/10ths on an odometer. It starts out as 'zero' and progresses through 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9/10ths until it reqches 'zero' again. That would measure 1 mile being tavelled.
