Sorry! I have always thought that the categorization used in the U.S. is ridiculous! I don't believe ethnicity should be dictated only by the language you speak. And, in this particular case, unlike most areas of Latin America, most inhabitants are of European descent. As an example: there are many U.S., German, Swiss, Italian, families who have settled in Argentina decades ago... and their descendants mother tongue has changed. Are we to consider them Hispanic? As I understand it, ethnicity is more about race, not nationality alone.
