No there is only one wire for the radio antenna unless you have an extension on it or after market part . But then again I'm not sure if i know what your trying to ask . But that's the best i can do for you with the info I'm getting !
Where is the radio amplifier in a 1989 mercury couger
it doesn't go down.
read the instructions manual.
In order to take the factory radio out of a 1999 Mercury Cougar you must have DIN tools. Once you make sure you have these, you can insert the tools into the screws on both sides of the stereo. After the tools are inserted, you need to push the tools to the outside of the stereo (slightly) to release the lock mechanism. After the mechanism is released, you can pull the stereo forward and out of the dash. Finally, you need to remove all the connectors and the antenna.
There is no button for the power antenna it works by it self if you turn on the ignition and your radio is on the antenna should come up by it self, if problem doesent go away it could be that ur radio isent hooked up to the antenna (yellow wire) or your power antenna blew.
There is nothing to reset except the radio presets and the clock.
Its on the right side of the hood. It runs under the hood and through the firewall to the back of the radio
cut wire between the dash and radio and fuse box.
Every time you disconnect a battery cable you have to reprogram the radio stations ( if that's what you are asking )
Call your dealer.
