Yes, duck's can drown. they coat their feathers with waxy substance from there bill's,to make theyre feathers waterproof. Ducklings in theyre first few weeks cannot provide this wax, therefore they often drown. If you wash a duck with detergent and remove its feather wax the duck will then sink in water and could very possibly drown.
I can not say about ducks but I just lost a hatch of chickens. I had 90 eggs set and 11 hatched, when I broke the eggs about half had a chick in it. my first egg to hatch was on Thursday and there was a thunderstorm Friday morning so I have to go with thunder will kill a hatch.
yes anything that is grounded can be struck so if its on the ground or flys in its path zap!!
They find any shelter they can during a thunderstorm, but when it's just raining they dont need shelter.
It takes a while to purify water
No one made electricity but they discovered it. Electricity was not invented; it occurs naturally and is an important part of keeping our physical universe in balance. Forms of natural electricity include lightning, static electricity, and the reactions of charged particles. However, legend has it that Benjamin Franklin was the first to realize that we could harness and use that energy for our own purposes when he was struck by lightning while flying a kite. In reality he was not the first to study electricity with this goal, but he did make tremendous progress in its study and practical application.
water is precious . as you all know there is shortage of water in our country , we should save water by closing taps while brushing our teeth etc.
because the pieces that make up the wood are spaced out are the reasons it can stay afloat for a while no matter how large it is but when it does stay in the water for a long time the start to become more close together and when that happends they sink.
sterile water is just free from microrganisms while pyrogen free water is specifically free from those orgainsms which cause fever.
Yes. Lightning is very attracted to water; it is an excellent conductor of electricity. a surfer in Cornwall was struck while surfing
hold a lightning rod up to the sky while lightning is striking
Your odds of being struck by lightning at any time is about 1 in 250,000. If you are playing golf and there is lightning, your odds drop to about 1 in 10,000.
Yes,the insluating effects of rubber are not high enough to protect you from lightning
No because you'll be dying slowly while you get eletricuted slowly and you don't feel it
yes
you would fall off
not if the water is already frozen then the duck can just walk across it...but if they're are in the water while it is freezing i have no idea..... *no ducks were harmed in the answering of this question
you get shocked :D
No, it was an arrow. The actual cause of King Harold's death is unknown. However, while being struck in the eye by an arrow seems a very possible cause of his death, he definitely was not struck in the eye with lightning.
umm, i don't know if you realised... DRAGONS AREN'T REAL!
Sure, but you are taking a chance of getting struck by lighting if you are outside.
