You can put bleach in a small pool if you want to control algae and other unwanted life. You must be very careful, as bleach can cause problems in a pool, so always test the water after adding bleach.
Yes, you can put bleach in kiddie pool. Most every municipal or commercial pool operators without exception use some form of chlorine to oxidize their pools. Chlorine maintained at proper levels are safe and non irritating to humans of all ages. If you are concerned about the health and safety of the "kiddies" buy a Taylor test kit, read the booklet. Water chemisty is not rocket science its relatively simple & inexpensive if you take the time to read and understand the information in the booklet. Many pool stores dont carry the Taylor kit because the booklet dose not make brand specific chemical recommendations for pool balancing. Their chemical suppliers would prefer the public be kept in the dark and dependant on the pool stores computer analysis and brand specific instructions to empty your wallet. If you love your kids and your money buy the kit read the booklet then teach what you have learned to your kiddie, then send your kids to college with the money you saved.
I assume you mean you want to just pour a little bleach in the pool water every day without testing it first just to keep the water pure I would not recommend that. Chlorine is actually poisonous in high doses, and it would be difficult to know if you have to much without proper testing as is done in large pools. It would be better to empty and refill the kiddie pool every couple of days.
Interestingly, the answer is yes. Sodium hypochlorite, the chemical name for bleach, can be used for shock treatment of pools.
There is a caveat though, not all bleach contain only Sodium hypochlorite, and it's probably not adviosable to use the stuff you normally use at home to disinfect as I may contain additive that could be difficult to remove from your pool.
Yes, but you will still need to measure how much with a OTO test kit, otherwise your kids may suffer. Hatawa
Not if you let the kids into it. Better to drain it, use bleach to clean and kill the algi, and then rinse well.
Yes they have a fairly large kiddie area separate from the main pool.
bleach
A kiddie pool is the small pool that you see at a park next to the larger pool. It gives the children who are too small to even get into the shallow end of the big pool a place to get wet and swim the best way they know how.
Robot Chicken - 2005 Kiddie Pool 1-15 was released on: USA: 12 June 2005
They use some kind of chlorine bleach to disinfect the dirty pool water.
Get a kiddie pool, Crisco and tongs
Not sure, but I woulodnt try it
Depends on the size of the pool. Actually, a more useful answer is to simply use 2 qts of regular, unscented, household bleach for every 10,000 gallons of pool water. ofarley@gmail.com
Yes, bleach is Sodium Hypochlorite, or commonly referred to as liquid chlorine in the pool business.
I do. Use half as much. Pool chlorine is 12.5% sodium hypochlorite Laundry bleach that I use is 6% sodium hypochlorite. Sometimes I dilute the pool chlorine by one part water to one part pool chlorine and use it just like regular laundry bleach.
No, a salt water pool does not contain bleach.
