The sensor in the door is dirty - where the door latches. You can spray WD-40 into that area to clean it. This happened to me in a 1997 Ford Taurus.
I just sprayed all my 1999 taurus door latches with silicon and it fixed it.
If you have a Ford Taurus and the high beams stay on all the time, chances are that you have a defective control switch. The dome light uses a separate switch but is likely to have the same problem. To correct the problem, both switches should be replaced.
If you need to replace your dome light switch you will need to remove the cover first. You can use your fingernails or even a small knife to get the cover off.
Check the dome light. These cars are notorous for having a bad door switch.
sounds like GEM mod. is bad
here is dome light fuse on 2004 ford ranger
I had to take the bulb out of mine, no one could fix the problem and I didn't want my battery to wear out.
how do i remove the dome light cover on a 2007 ford explorer suv
There is probably a broken wire at one of the wheel sensors. If you can not find a bad wire have the ABS scanned.
could be alternator or charging circuit or could be anything got to do with the battery when its draining out loose connection terminal
It doesn't have a dome light... it's a map light, #105
