Continental Drift was devised by Alfred Wegener.
Evidence would be:
1. Deposition of glacial tills in the southern continents and how they match when connected together.
2. Location of terrestrial fossils e.g. Mesosaurus which fossils can be found in South America and Southern Africa which were once connected.
3. Locations of old mountain chains e.g. Caledonians.
4. Location of fossil deserts, swamps and salt lakes.
5. Palaeomagnetism where lava which contains iron which is magnetic solidified marking the position of magnetic north in the lava. When the rocks which were formed from the solidified magma it was found that the rocks didn't point to what is now magnetic north proving that the continents must have moved so that the rocks could have at one point pointed north.
It is easily possible to see how the western coast line of Africa could fit into the eastern coast line of South America, and other such matches can be found in many locations, but aside from the similarity of shapes, close examination of the fossil record, the mineral content, and every other aspect of the ground shows that these areas that have matching shapes also have matching histories, up to a certain point when they started to drift apart. Aside from that, it is very clear from our studies of earthquakes and volcanoes that plate tectonics is a valid theory. The continents really do drift.
The Continental Drift theory is a theory because there is no evidence to support it. Alfred Wegener developed the Continental Drift theory in the 1800's.
Continental drift is a concept relating to the movement of the Earth's continents. The proving of the continental drift theory came from evidence found around the world. Foremost, scientists had discovered that similar plants and animal fossils were found in or around different continents, suggesting that they were once joined. The theory of plate tectonics also supported continental drift. If one were to look at a global map, the complementary arrangements between South America and Africa can be easily seen.
No, only Continental Drift Theory.
The driving Forces of Continental drift are both gravity and the motion of the underground Tectonic Plates.
The continental drift is still taking place.
Is there a list? Continental drift is real, so religious fanatics don't provide evidence for continental drift.
It is good evidence of continental drift as fossils of previous duck billed platypuses were found in America and Alaska, which Australia was once connected to. This means the platypuses once lived there hence evidence of continental drift.
Yes.
their roots
He didn't. Evidence which points to continental drift was discovered later, after he died.

Continental drift is a hypothesis so there is no actual proof or evidence of it, but rather opinions and views suggesting the possibility of it.
Which type of evidence was NOT used by Alfred Wegener to support his continental drift hypothesis human remains
They are plants, Rock, and fossils
It is any trace of an ancient organism that has been preserved in rock.Fossils provided evidence for continental drift by Wegener's hypothesis. Wegener studied land features, fossils, and evidence of climate change.
