It doesn't work that way. An oxygen sensor can not be bypassed.
Detects amount of air so can adjust fuel ratio by increasing/decreasing injector pulse time and monitors catalyst.
It depends on the vehicle. It will be the bank that includes cylinder #1.

Bank 1 is the same side as cylinder 1
Sensor one is always before the catalytic converter.
Well ur engine will shutter at defreat speeds sometimes just in ideal when u pre

You have one of three general problems in order of most to least likely.
Bank 2 is opposite of where cylinder 1 is. Sensor 1 is before the catalyst.
Bank 2 is opposite of where cylinder 1 is. Sensor 1 is before the catalyst.
