they and 65 to 72 foot lbs. at leased that is what it was on my 92talon 2.0 non turbo
Plymouth Laser 92-94 and Mitsubishi Eclipse 93-94 for the 2.0Lengine.
Most of these have coil near plug setups, if this is true for youthen you want to check the Crank sensor next. If you have adistributor then you might need to change the cap and rotor.
i think its just in front of cylinder #2 sticking out of the aluminum part, right above the timing belt relay
I bought this same book from e-bay. just type in the model youneed. Good luck. B. G.
nottin that any mechanic could solve so i suggest to simply just get a new car dah or you'll just have to wait 10 min. to start your car
i put a water pump in my 95 eagle summit now it wont start. i need help figuring out what could be wrong?
I have a 94 ESI, in order to change the ball joint you must purchase what they call a control arm. The ball joint and control arm comes as one piece. If you look at the ball joint you will see that it is one large piece and that one end is bolted to the chassis. It would be wise for you to change...
Yes you can put a 2g engine in a 1g car with the 2g wiring harness its kind of a pain just to swap it out and it is even more of a pain if the one you are swapping it to is a n/a. If that is the case you have to rip half of the car apart to drill out driveshaft bolts just a real pain. But anyway...
The 1993 Eagle Vision equipped with the 3.5 Liter V6 has a timing belt. The belt MUST be replaced at 105,000 miles or 10 years. The cam belt also drives the water pump, so replace the pump at the same time to save on labor costs later on when the pump fails. Warning: This engine is an...
On an 11 year old car I would suspect a possible vacuum leak. Check all the vacuum hoses under the hood. Can also be a defective EGR valve. Are you sure the Check Engine light is working? This should trigger the light. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Look see if the CE light is on.
Lets start by saying the two cars for many years are the same. Made by one company in the US. If you are taking the tranny out of the same power train level of another car it will fit. If you want to change auto to 5 speed it can be done as well. If you change that, you will need to change the ecu....
Raise the hood and look for the drive belt. The drive belt powers the alternator.
First thing , Replace the fuel filter. Purchase a spray can of starter fluid, and use it sparingly to start the engine. A partially clogged fuel filter will cause the fuel pump to work harder and fail prematurely. So don't forget to replace it even if the engine starts.
Answer . Is there a particular icon you were wanting to know? Please elaborate and I'll be happy to answer.. ICON ON left side shows ! IN red
It's underneath the dash on the drivers side near the center consol. These have a habit of leaking from the capacitors and they can be replaced if you can soder.
The Sensor is dirty cause of a lower intake leak it allows oil to get in the radiator. lower intake leaks roughly cost $800 to fix at a normal mechanic shop hope this helps.
check your fuse for the cig lighter
it depends if you have the 1.8or the 2.0. The 1.8 is only 90 something HP and wont get you going all that fast. but the 2.0 is like 135 HP and is pretty quick. so more info please
yes you can, i have a 1992 eagle talon tsi awd turbo, and i also have a 98 talon tsi and since the 95-98 mmodels have a 7 bolt pattern, im sure you know, crank walk etc, i threw in a 2.0 engine into my 98 modded the hell out of it to, super easy, great fit, go for it
use it upside down or open the resolution settings page, accessed from the desktop, or control panel you'll find it easily enough, should say something like "rotate desktop"
the compression isn't high enuf the tsi's have low compression pistons and are relying on the forced air from the turbo to feed it
I'm thinking that it indicates your high beam headlights are on.
Answer . Replacing the Eagle Talon headlights on a 2g is actually a big task for the first time. I will do my best to cover it There are 3 bolts on top, and one bolt on the bottom but the bolt on the bottom faces in, I'm guessing it is used for aiming the light. The 3 bolts on top are easy,...
go to............... put in year etc.. look up...............
obviously its the same 4g63 engine
The firing order is 1-4-3-2 but it dosent really matter just make sure that 1-4 are on the same coil and the 2-3 are on the same coil because the dsms coil packs are waste spark so regardless two fire at the same time
i just did a timing belt on my 2.0 l there are marks on the crankshaft, oil pump, balance shaft and the cam shaft belt wheels as well the belt wheels line up with eachother. -you should be able to put a ruler across the marks. - for the crankshaft, oil pump and balance shaft there are little arrows...
Answer . That is a check (as good as cash or gold, usually) :-). Hope this helps!
v-tec b18 b16 is it AWD? no it is not awd its fwd and its non turbo

Tighten the center bolt on the pulley and if it's tight and still wobbles then replace the pulley.

Ambassador, Rebel, Hornet, Gremlin, Javelin, AMX
it is not that easy but what i did without a manual was look on the computer for the location of it. LOL anyway i have a 95 eagle summit dl 1.5L engine 5 speed trans. and if you are looking at your car from the front the starter is on the left side right behind the trans. on top. so what i did was...
Check the craigs list listings in your area. Look it up on google
The front wheels must be elevated, minimum. This is a FWD vehicle.
i have the same problem i think it has to do with a short between the fuse box and the before the plug because i pulled the plug that connects to the switch and the running lights stay on but the head lights turn off your best bet is to follow the wires from the box to the plug and make sure they...
turn the car off, unhook the battery, hook it back up, then try it again, could just be something to do with the "auto" setting
check ur coil pack or your power transistor
I would start by putting the right battery for it so it doesn't happen again. I reccomond taking it to an independent repair shop for diagnosis. Your description leaves a lot of room for interpretation. BClear. Additional information: I don't think the problem was with an incorrect battery, but...
your heater core is either shot or your fan is blocked, broken, fuse is shot or your fan is caught on something..
Answer . The Turbo 4G63 motor will fit in it.. Answer . It might fit but with modification. I was looking at my friends turbo eclipse and the motor sits in there differently. The motor mounts are in different locations.. Answer . it's a real pain to drop the turbo engine in because it...
Yes, if it is from the same family of motor(head boltspacing/head gaskets/bore spacing/etc.). but the compression ratiowill more than likely go up. Also the turbo head might(should) havelarge cooling passages, so might have detonation issues. Need tocheck manifolds, sensorsto see if they would work.
My talon tsi is still at 150,000 and still runnign strong, proubably 300,000 if you keep it up to date
If its an automatic tranny then its in the same area as the ECU behind the stereo
According to Edmunds, it's 3119 lbs.
real bad head gasket or stuck thermostat. You might want to check the oil and see if it is a milky white. Also look at the exhaust to see if it is blowing white smoke. It could possibly mean blown head gasket, or a cracked head.
Sounds like you idle sincere is bad try replacing it and see what happens.
Answer . 3.5 L engine-- . The water pump is located behind the stamped timing belt cover, so normally you can't see it. To access the pump, you'll need to remove the timing belt covers (there are two pieces) and then remove the timing belt.
Answer . I found a book at my local library called 'Chilton's Repair & Tune-up Guide American Motors 1975-82 and it has a list on trouble codes and a general description of what might be the problem on page 139-140. 32 different codes are listed.. ! . The AMC eagle doesn't use "trouble codes"....
"Fixed" is too broad of a term, is it stuck open, closed, leaking, not working at all. Specification needed here.

if it is a manual talon could be clutch not disengaging( slave or master cylinder most likely culprit) if automatic, could be something to do with tranny itself or shifter
assuming this is a 3.5L on the drivers side, starting at the back 6 4 2 on the passengers side, starting at the back, 5 3 1 the first cylinder is about 2 inches closer to the front of the car also on the spark plug wires it shows the numbers hope this helps
The SRS light comes on when the airbag computer detects a malfunction and sets a code.
Yes; an eclipse and talon are built identical except for exterior trim parts.1995 was the first year for the second generation eclipse/talon. the talon model was discontinued in 1998.
There are several different types of material that can be used toreplace the intake hose piping. If the oem hose is not availableauto part stores will cut an appropriate length hose using the samematerial.
yes they move once they have young and some other times too.
Check your throttle positioning sensor it's on the throttle body just unplug it and see if it makes any change if not its probably bad
Sorry no after market MAF best bet customization I took the lid that the MAF screws to and used a cutting wheel to cut around the screws in the top then it leaves a ccup for a rubber gromet to go around then i cut the green box of the MAF and extended the wires and put the box somewhere eles then...
all 4 cylinder engines have a fireing order of 1 3 4 2
It all depends on how the car was taken care of. How frequent oil changes were, how often the belts have been changed and basic upkeep right down to the changing of the headgasket and various seals as well as keeping the car clean, both interior and exterior, as well as basic maintenance of checking...

That's the antilock brake system (ABS) . The first thing I would check is the condition of the brake pads. There is a sensor on the rotor that measures the amount of force used to brake. It can get dirty and send a bad signal. You can also have an electrical problem. If it's not the sensors, have it...
There was no AMC in '89
Try using higher octane gas if that doesn't do it then you may need to replace your knock sensor
Answer . Low coolant?. Stuck Thermostat. Cooling fan not working. Water pump not working. Clogged radiator. System airlocked. Defective radiator cap
Start at the upper rad hose and follow it to where it connects to the motor. Pull off the hose and undo the bolts there and the thermostat is right there. If not then someone left it out.
A.F.I three thing that a car needs is A (air) F (fuel) I (ignition) check to make sure you have air so get a pressure test on your cylinders. make sure you have gas and that your fuel line and gas pump are delivering the gas and also that your injectors are working properly. then ignition wich means...
i have a 1994 eagle summit 5 speed manual and i would say its a good car for driving around gets good gas mileage
AMMEND: I will try adjusting the idle screw tommaro.. but i have the same problem. As well as an srs light.. But i tested with a voltimeter, the ohms and such on the throttle position sensor..above the Idle Air Controll.. not much on IAC recommending its bad.. TPS made things go click near...
Answer is no. . No. Oversize pistons are ment to be used with enlarged cylinders.
Yes it can, the only difference is you need the oil gap plug that feeds the turbo off of the turbo head. other than that it will work perfectly fine with no issues. I would suggest taking the replacement head into a machine shop and having them look it over. I did the same thing with mine and was...

a transducer is a device that converts one form of energy into another form for say light emitting diodes that converts electric energy into light energy , whereas sensors are those devices that sense the surroundings and feedback the data which is manipulated to give the output for example touch...
The saying 'you old dog' just means someone that you have not seenfor a long time. It is just a way of saying hi to someone you havenot seen in a while.
Yes on a vehicle of that age it is normal to be able to put in gear with out pressing the brake.. I assume you mean down-shifting to a lower gear while slowing down?. As with any automatic, when slowing down and shifting to a lower gear, applying the brake is assential, mandatory. This, not only...
fuel pump will be in the fuel tank, there will be an access panel hidden under the carpet so that you do not need to remove the tank from the vehicle. hope this helps
Just do basic maintenance and smooth driving and you should get a long life out of it. It's not terribly amazing on gas because of it's weight, but it's built like a war tank; it's very solid. It's pretty much a two seater, very little room in the back but it's very, very comfortable in the front....
the talon tsi creates 210 horsepower and does not top 200 mph!!! ot maxes like 147. After 100 mph the power really goes away because of the awd. It is fast for the money but not my ride i dont know the complete difference betwen the years but my 1996 Talon tsi awd is stock 210 hp, and tops at...
