General George Custer was an officer in the US Army and a commander for the cavalry during both the American Indian Wars and the Civil War. He died on June 25, 1876 in Little Bighorn, Montana at the age of 36 when he was attacked by Indians.

he was killed by one thousand indians ____________ When the cavalry's main column did arrive three days later, they found most of the soldiers' corpses stripped, scalped, and mutilated.[23] Custer's body had two bullet holes, one in the left temple and one just above the heart.[24] Following the recovery of Custer's body, he was given a funeral with full military honors, and was buried on the battlefield, and later reinterred in the West Point Cemetery on October 10, 1877. The site of the battle was designated a National Cemetery in 1876. I always thought it was an arrow.....you learn something new
