Easiest way I found was to dismount the tank. First unscrew the 4 bolts that hold the black bracket to the frame ( this is right under your seat). Then unscrew all bolts that hold the tank, so you can have this whole thing able to move freely (tank and bracket). You dont have to completely take off the tank and dismount fuel lines etc. Just have somebody lift it and then you will have enough space to take out the battery.
How-to change clutch cover on yamaha r1?
The Yamaha R1 is faster
The fuse box is under the riders seat on the Yamaha R1. It is between the battery and the ECU and it is has a hinged lid that opens from left to right.
The transmission is housed inside the engine cases. The 04 R1 has a redesigned engine that is not the same as the 2000 model, I'm sure it wont fit.
From my experience, Yamaha R1 hands down.
Yes both engines should fit in the crate box with enough space for stuffing and foam.
The Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle is a sports bike class motorcycle. The Yamaha YZF R1, like other Yamaha sports bikes, are available from authorized Yamaha dealers.
My 2006 yamaha R1 weighs around 870 lbs.
the r1 has 1000 cc's
It is under the seat toward the front of the seat and rear of the tank. Remove the drivers seat to get to the battery. It maybe be necessary to loosen th tank in several spots to lift the tank slightly. On the Yamaha r1 2004-2008 you have to lift the tank as well to get it out. Good luck!
It all depends on how you ride it, but the average rider will get about 38mpg.
Yamaha r1 will beat anything off the line
