you need to buy the intake gasket throttle body gasket remove bolts from the intake both front rear and four bolts at the throttle body side remove the intake dont try to take out bolts to the plentum hex key bolts then remove the coils then the spark plugs all with the engine cold
Remove the upper intake, then proceed as with the other plugs.
They Are under the Intake manifold like on my 04 kia sedona, You have to removethe center part of the manifold.
You spend 340.00 paying the dealer to take half the engine apart so that there is access to the spark plugs. Other than the access problem there is nothing different about changing Kia Spark plugs.
Changing spark plugs is relatively easy. Disconnect the batter and spark plug cables, and remove the old spark plugs. Next replace the spark plugs with new ones, reconnect the spark plug cables and battery.
On the other side of the motor close to the firewall, To get to these plugs you must remove the intake. If you plan on doing this your self Have a Plenum Gasket handy before you start. While you are at it i would also replace the back plug wires.

To replace the spark plugs from a 2004 Kia Sedona the plug wires ,must be removed from the engine. Unscrew the plugs. Properly space the new plugs and screw them in.
How do I change the spark plug wires in a 1997 dodge stratus? It seems that there are three plugs and wires that are easy to get to on the front of the engine, but the other three are somewhere behind the engine near the firewall. Thank you.
There are 3 in the front, but the other three, you have to take the intake manifold OFF the car,,, big job. Bob in AZ
There is no distributor per say. It is electronically controlled and each plug has its own coil pack that emits a spark. And each coil pack fires two cylinders which is why you see the wires going towards the cyclinders closest to the firewall.
There is an arm bolted right in the center front of the engine. Remove the bolt and the engine will tilt forward.
