ON SIDE OF THE ALUMINUMSTEM FILL OIL NO FURTHER THAN THE TOP OF THE F , WITH 90W GEAR OIL. -------------------------- The answer above is correct except the proper fluid is Mercon automatic Transmission Fluid. Seems odd to put automatic transmission fluid in a manual transmission, but that's the correct fluid.
I know on my 97 ford aspire i was told to fill the manual transmission where the speedometer cable goes in on the top of the transaxle. There is one bolt that holds it down and then it just screws off.
The automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is between the engine and the battery ( the manual transaxle does not have a dipstick )
The AUTOMATIC transmission ( transaxle ) dipstick is on the transaxle just to the left of the battery when looking from the front of the vehicle , the manual transaxle does not have a dipstick
Automatic overdrive transaxle ( 6 quarts / 5.7 liters ) 5 speed manual transaxle ( 5.2 quarts / 4.9 liters )
Motorcraft Mercon Automatic transmission fluid according to the manual ( For the automatic and the manual transaxle / transmission )
The 1997 Ford Aspire owners manual ( view on-line at www . motorcraft service . com - no spaces - click on Owner Guides ) shows Motorcraft MERCON for the automatic and manual transaxles . Approximate capacity for the manual transaxle is ( 5.2 quarts / 4.9 liters )
NO!
where's the relay on a 95 ford aspire Which Relay?
The manual transaxle takes Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid according to the owners manual ( which can be viewed on-line at www . motorcraft service . com - no spaces - click on Owner Guides )
On a 1995 Ford Aspire : If you stand at the front of the vehicle and look in the engine compartment the automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is in the area to the LEFT of your battery ( according to a drawing I was looking at of the engine compartment of a 1996 Ford Aspire )
According to the owners manual ( which can be viewed on-line at www . motorcraft service . com - no spaces - click on Owner Guides ) Both the manual and the automatic transaxle take Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid
Yes, but it will cost more than the car is worth
