NEVER replace anything that hasn't been verified to be bad. Check a switch with a meter before replacing it. Unfortunately there are far too many mechanics that just replace parts without any thought to what is actually wrong. I'd check the turn signal switch (test it, don't replace it until you know it's bad) and the connections that operate the brake lights. Use a meter to determine if voltage is present at different points along the wire that drives the right and left brake lights.

i had the same problem, sounded like the flasher was clicking. turns out it was the multi-function switch (turn signal/cruise ctrl/highbeam/washer switch). it was about 300 bucks to have replaced. couldn't do it myself.

In the front grill. Just grab grill and pull and it snaps out and the sensor is located right there.
