*By visiting wrong sites, most of the time adult and internet games
*By clicking an ad or a browser windows who tells you there is a virus. It will ask you to install something, if you do this you almost definitely have a virus
*MSN-virusses by clicking automatic generated links sent by other msn-users (they don't know about it, tell them!)
*Some virusses are in e-mail attachments
*If you download movies, applications, music from the internet there is always a chanse that there is a virus in there.

*by carelessly plugging in an infected USB drive or some sort of data storage system.
*by being seriously unlucky, getting one for frankly, no reason at all.
*getting hacked.
*installing an add-on for any program, could be infected, careful.

One more thing, it's not because you have a virus-scanner you can't get a virus on your computer, there are new virusses and virusses your virus-scanner can't detect yet.

∙ 14y agoA computer worm is a self-replicating computer program. It uses a network to send copies of itself to other nodes (computers on the network) and it may do so without any user intervention. Unlike a virus, it does not need to attach itself to an existing program. Worms almost always cause at least some harm to the network, if only by consuming bandwidth, whereas viruses almost always corrupt or modify files on a targeted computer.
