A few easy ways to sqweek out HP from the shadow's powerplant would be the addition of some aftermarket goodies. This is what I did to mine to get a +25HP increase:

1: Cobra Low-Boy shotgun exhaust without baffles (400$)

2: High Flow spike air intake with K&N filter (Keeping the Carb's forward facing

snorkle) (150$)

3: Stage 3 Dynojet carb jet kit (100$)

4: Iridium Spark Plugs (30$)

5: High Octane Fuel (93 premium) Dont use racing fuel (11$ per tank)

6: Lucas Synthetic Oil for engine and pumpkin (30$)

Now, you can also stiffen the suspension in the rear...that won't actually help HP...but it'll give you a firmer bite without the rear end squatting on acceleration.

Also....don't ride fatties on the back..it'll slow you down :-) (I can safely say that bc i'm a fatty)

After all that mess..if you're still not happy...you can always have someone bore the jugs and put bigger pistons. But..ultimately what chokes the Shadow down is the transmission and drive shaft. A lot of the HP is lost there. The gearing is too low for high speed stuff.
