To replace the belt on a 2.0 liter engine for the 99.5-2005 models you need a long crescent wrench and a new belt. The tensioner is located near the top left side of the engine inline with the belt. You will notice a square metal piece on top, put the wrench on that, tighten and pull forward. This will release tension on the belt, and using your other hand, grab the belt and remove it from pulleys, it should practically fall off. Now take the new belt and reverse the procedure, making sure you get the grooves aligned properly in all pulleys.

Look for the tensioner pulley. There are threads on the tensioner arm that you have to put a bolt into. Turn the bolt and the tensioner will loosen. The belt will slide off. Put the new one on and remove the bolt in the tensioner. 2: I personally use a pair of vise grip and pry the tensionner arm
