With the ones I've seen, they simply screw on to the bib just like a hose would. So you just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. In Texas with homes built in the 1980's forward, you usually cannot remove just the anti syphon device because the commercial plumbers remove or break off the set screw that comes with the assembly that would allow for removal. I had to have a plumber remove the hose bib (simple process) and then replace it along with a new anti syphon valve. This put an end to the annoying dribbling of water. Cost me $65. I'll do it myself the next time as it is actually quite simple now that I know how to do it. I will install it with a syphon valve that I can remove.
Pull upward on the hose that the PCV valve is in. The PCV valve will pull out of the hose. The PCV valve is located in the valve cover.
No fixing that valve. Replace the valve and hose with new ones.
I have 1 1999 Dodge Neon Sport and the PCV valve is located on a hose that comes out of the Valve cover. The hose is very brittle (possibly due to heat) and can crack when you try to replace the PCV valve so be prepared to replace the hose, clamps, etc. as well.
By isolating the valve then remove it and replace it
# The PCV valve is located in the valve cover # Detach the hose from the valve then unscrew the valve from the valve cover
You first need to make sure that there is not an anti-syphon device fitted to the fuel tank.Get a hose about 1.5 meters long, feed it into the fuel tank until you have enough hose to reach the ground from the filler cap. Position the container close to the end of the hose, now suck the end of the pipe until petrol hits your mouth, then quickly put the end of the hose into the container.
Get a syphon hose
The PCV valve is located inline in a hose between the valve cover and throttle body. Make sure to check the hose and replace if cracks are found.
On the 2.8 it's on top of the plenum at the back. disconnect the hose & unscrew the pcv valve & replace.
Remove the bottom hose from the evaporater at the firewall, pull out the expansion valve, i highly recommend flushing out the system to remove excess sludge. Replace the valve and the hose.
To change the transmission modulator valve in a 97 Pontiac Bonneville you will first need to lift the vehicle off the ground. Then, remove the vacuum hose and the defective valve. You can then replace with new, and replace the hose.
Pull it out of the valve cover, pull it out of its hose, and reverse the procedure.
