if the photo is from ur phone just simply send the photo to ur email and then save picture as
if its from a camera take the memory stick out and plug it into ur computer and it will show up

Well, there are three possible reasons that I could think of that might be a reason why. A- Your friend's computer has a software to upload the pictures B- Your computer may not be able to handle photo shop uploads (Unlikely) C- You are not uploading them the right way
